Narendra Modi chaired his second high level meeting yesterday to review the ongoing efforts under Operation Ganga to bring Indians stranded in Ukraine home. The Prime Minister told reporters the entire government machinery is working round the clock to ensure the safety and security of all Indian nationals.
Mr Modi, according to the Ministry of External Affairs, said the visit of four ministers as his Special Envoys to various nations will energize the evacuation efforts. It reflects the importance the government attaches to this issue, he said.
The Prime Minister announced today that the first shipment of relief supplies for Ukraine would be delivered to the country’s borders. As part of India’s motto of the world as one family, he stated that India would assist people from neighbouring countries and developing countries who are stranded in Ukraine.
